Dear Bro Gary
Here is 2 pocket Testaments that my wife Helen and I had custom made for us to hand out. We had 1,000 in English and 1,000 in Spanish made for us. We are excited about all that is happening in Lonesome Road Ministry and are wishing that we could come to the conference. But at least we can send you a donation to help with the expenses. We will be praying for you here in Virginia and all those in attendance. I am very thankful for the collector cards & CD’S you have sent to us. There is such a need for them and they are going like hotcakes. I’m so thankful that you & Linda allow the righteousness of Christ to shine through you so well. Thank you so much ! I wanted to share with you about my first time in a truck stop chapel. It was in the late 90s and I had delivered a load of frozen dinners and went to the truck stop in Rochelle, IL. We spent the night and got up and showered and ate breakfast. We went back to my truck to wait on my next load. We were talking when someone knocked on my door. I looked down and a man in a fedora with several kids was looking at me. I asked what he needed and he said he came to invite us to church in the trailer that was converted into a chapel. I told him we were waiting on our next load assignment and might come in later. After he walked away I told my wife they weren’t in a hurry to get me my load so we were going to church. After the service he asked if he could pray for me? He said from the moment he saw me he felt the love of God towards me. He prayed that God would get us off the road and give me a good local job. That prayer was answered a few months later. Danny Danny, The Chaplain your referring to in Rochelle, IL. is a very good friend, Chaplain Jay LeRette. He is still there at Rochelle, Il at the Petro truck stop. I also met him in the mid 90’s and he made a powerful impact on my life and ministry. How many drivers brother Jay has prayed with over the last 30 years is amazing testimony of his ministry. Drivers if you haven’t never stopped in at the Chapel in Rochelle, Il. you need to make it a point to stop in and shake this mighty man of God’s hand and thank him for his years of service. I have always enjoyed Dr. David Gibbs. He is a marvelous communicator. I just listened to his message “ What Are You Asking For?” in your May 2023 mailing. What a gift this man has! I’m sending a small check and wondering if you could send me a batch of this particular message out. Hopefully after they listen to it they will share it with their family & friends. I am rounding third and heading home with my role as President of Blueprint For Life. Next year when I close the doors for good I will have served over four decades. God’s provisions and watch care have been nothing short of miraculous! I had no idea when I stepped out in faith if I would make it four days, let alone over forty years. I prayed for your ministry today and thank God we had the opportunity to meet years ago at Darrell Hine’s banquet in Illinois. ‘Go in peace for the journey you are on is under the eye of the Lord.
