This month’s CD/Podcast is a great message & testimony by Joe Arview “Have A Little Faith.” It brought to mind this great story I have shared on our radio program we do on the Dave Nemo Show on Sirrus/XM Channel 146 on Sunday mornings. It was an extremely severe summer the fields were parched from lack of rain, and the crops lay wilting from thirst. People were anxious and irritable as they searched the sky for any sign of relief. Days turned into arid weeks. No rain came. The ministers of the local churches called for an hour of prayer on the town square the following Saturday. They requested that everyone bring an object of faith for inspiration. At high noon out en masse, filling the square with anxious faces and hopeful hearts. The ministers were touched to see the variety of objects clutched in prayerful hands – holy books, crosses, rosaries. When the hour ended, as if on magical command, a soft rain began to fall. Cheers swept the crowd as they held their treasured objects high in gratitude and praise. From the middle of the crowd one faith symbol seemed to overshadow all the others: A small nine year old child had brought an umbrella. Jesus said in Mark Chapter 4 Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith? This is why people become afraid--because they lose faith. Faith is the answer to fear. Faith is always the answer to our fears, regardless of what they are. Jesus put His finger right on it: "Do you still have no faith?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. When we go to church, or when we go to God in prayer, let’s go expecting to receive. When we have childlike faith God will hear our prayers. Whatever we need let’s go expecting to receive from the Holy Spirit. Hmmmm Good Advice.

Happy New Year everyone!!! We are looking forward to a brand new year and a brand new level God has raised us up to. This month’s CD/podcast is a testimony by Charles Stephens “It’s All About Prayer.” Over the past 20 plus years we have sent out many powerful testimonies and some awesome sermons, but I feel that this month’s testimony by Charles Stephens is one of those that you will just keep on listening to and gleaning those precious nuggets from God. God is going to speak to you through this CD/Podcast to do something that you might think that your not capable of doing. So, it’s time to get out of the boat and walk on water! So why not ask? Ask God what would you have me do for you. Watch your faith prevail into something that God can use. My very first prayer was when I prayed a prayer of salvation and asked God to save me, and the next prayer was when I asked God to use me. That was in 1995 and for the next 5 years I read my Bible and prayed for wisdom, strength, courage and knowledge. Oh and God, I am going to need a whole lot of discernment please. In the year 2000 I found myself teaching a Sunday School class and my class bought me the book, “The Prayer of Jabez,” for my birthday. I started reading that book and praying the prayer that is in the book asking God to please bless me, and enlarge my territory. Let your hand be on me and guide me so that I will be free from harm and free from pain. God please use me to make a difference to people all across America as I travel this Ole Lonesome Road. And God granted me what I asked for. Prayer is the key that unlocks the door to your success that God has for you too. So don’t be afraid to ask God for anything and when you ask, expect Him to not only answer but to bless you beyond anything you could ever dream hope or imagine. |
Gary RayburnI logged over 4 million miles as a truck driver from 1972 - 2007 and I have written a lot of it in my songs. God has taken me off the road and put me into full time ministry, but I still have a heart for all you drivers out there. Archives
