Happy Easter!
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Revival is birthed through a passion for Jesus. Whether it’s Azusa Street in the early 1900’s or Asbury, KY of today. The common denominator is a people longing to feel the fire in their soul. We hear it preached from every pulpit in America, how we want to see revival, we want to see God move. Each and every one of us has said it, we want to see God move.
Jesus Christ, when he walked this earth as a man, had been given the Holy Spirit without measure. That’s why he could say in John 9:5, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Then on the day of Pentecost, after the Lord ascended to heaven, he fulfilled Joel’s prophecy of pouring out the Holy Spirit upon all flesh. The body of Christ was no longer the body of just one man, but is composed of all Christians. That is why the Lord can say to us Christians, “Ye are the light of the World.” That is why Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, “Ye are the salt of the earth.” In other words, it is as John wrote in his 1st epistle, Chapter 4 and verse 17, “As Christ is, so are we in this world.” If we truly do want to see a move of God, then we, as Christians need to get moving! We are the light of the world! We are the salt of the earth! We are the body of Christ and it is up to us! The best way to start a revival is to start one in our homes, then let it spill out into our neighborhoods and from there across our city, state and country, and into the uttermost parts of the world. Jesus said in John 17:18 “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.” In John 14:12 Jesus said, “he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works.” We want to see the power of God fall from heaven. It fell, and it fell on us! Only Christians can move out in the power of God and change someone’s life and be the light in someone’s dark world. We want to see God move? Let’s get moving! Lonesome Road Ministries is excited to be on the road in 2023! We passed out thousands of Bibles,Testimony Books, CD’S & Podcast Cards at the Mid America Truck show last month. This month we will be in Eureka Springs, AR April 8, 2 - 5 pm at the Church in the Grove on the passion play grounds. There will be lots of great music, testimonies and I will bring the Easter message. If you can make it, we would be honored to meet you. I know you will be blessed by the great music we will have that day. Jim & Ann Davenport has been the pastors of the Church in the Grove for the past year. They have shown their passion for Jesus by selling their home in Texas and moving up to Eurekas Springs to pastor this Church and volunteer their time at the passion play. Jesus said to his disciples, “Follow Me,” and they have done just that! They have sold out to Jesus and are following His call to follow Him. As you listen to this CD/Podcast you will find out all about the passion of Jim & Ann and how they continue to serve the Lord with all the passion they have. They are dear friends of ours and we have been working alongside of them in the ministry ever since we began a cassette tape ministry in Oct 2000. Jim & Ann have several music CD’S and what a great way to support their ministry by calling them and ordering some of their music.

What makes a good fisherman or fisherwoman? Good fishermen arrive at the right spot at the right time. They come prepared with the right equipment. They know something about the fish they’re after and choose the right-sized hook and bait to attract the fish. Most importantly, once a good fisherman casts the line, he or she patiently waits for the fish to nibble. If the fish likes the taste, it’s not long before it’s hooked.
As Christians, we should all aspire to be good Fishers-of-Men? Sadly, all too often, we ignore the rules of the good fisherman when evangelizing in the unsaved world. We choose a spot and a time that is convenient to us (usually when and where the fish are not biting). More often than not, we arrive unprepared and unequipped. We bring no bait (patience, compassion and tolerance). If we do happen to see a fish (someone interested in the Word), we zealously dive in, causing a frightful splash as we try to catch the fish with our bare hands. Tragically, the result is always the same. (Matthew 4:19) The Easter Bible Story - While Christmas observes the birth of Jesus, Easter remembers the main Christian event: Christ's suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection. For Christians, Easter is the remembrance of Christ's voluntary death and resurrection to save humankind from sin and death.

Gary RayburnI logged over 4 million miles as a truck driver from 1972 - 2007 and I have written a lot of it in my songs. God has taken me off the road and put me into full time ministry, but I still have a heart for all you drivers out there. Archives
