Look what the Lord hath done!!!  Last month I printed a picture of a building that I thought would be perfect for our Ministry.  Well God had a better plan!  I was mailing our newsletters and CD'S at the post office in Keenes, Il. (3 miles from our house) and my wife Linda was with me when she said "look there is a empty Church setting across the road."  I went back in and found out who owned the Church and went over to find the owner.  Just so happened he was just getting home and I ask him if he would be interested in selling the Church building.  He said he might, so we went in and looked it over.  God started showing me a vision of Lonesome Road Ministries new home right there in this Church.  He gave me a vision of our next conference right there.  I asked the guy if he knew what he would take and he gave me a price.  A few days later I made him an offer and he countered with the exact price God told me to buy it for, $37,500 which is almost half the price of the other building that I was getting ready to buy.  God always has a better plan!  

I am amazed and overwhelmed by what God is doing in our life and this ministry.  So many of you have sent in your offerings to help us reach the amount we need for a down payment and secure this Church.  We have received many donations of various amounts.  Little is much when God is in it!   I believe God is wanting us to reach the full amount and not only pay this building off in full but have enough left over so that we can get the sound system, carpet and sanctuary chairs we need.  In 2021 we will be able to have our very next 3 Fold Cord Conference right here at Lonesome Road Ministries new Church on the Road.  The only way this is possible is with God!  I thank God for each and everyone of you who have been so faithful over the years to help support Lonesome Road Ministries.  I want you to know that when you send in a donation for the building no matter what size you send in it will go into buying this building and making it a Church that will always be about reaching those on the road.  This will always be a place you can call home no matter where you are from.  We are always ready to pray with you and help you!  Thank you for your help in keeping this ministry working to help others..

Our Spotlight this month falls on Chaplain Bruce Phelps.   Bruce has been married to his wife Arlene for 35 years and they have been in the trucking business for most of those years.  Bruce joined Channel 21 Ministries in   2016 after picking up a CD we duplicated of Highways and Byways trying to help a fellow brother get his great ministry into more hands.  We quickly learned how valuable Bruce was when we learned about his passion for websites.  Bruce now runs and maintains Lonesome Road Ministries, Channel 21 Ministries and a whole lot more Ministry websites. 

You can read his testimony on his website  www.voiceofbeliever.org.  One of the very first websites Bruce created was for a former pop singer Frankie Valens who became an awesome gospel singer for the Lord. Bruce also works with other great ministries such as Truckers Prayer Line & Good News Distribution.

Bruce says the key is to do like that fellow on the mountain did a long time ago. he was about to sacrifice his son because the Lord told him to, (You know the story) The Lord provided a plan "B" because that fellow obeyed. Jesus selected a rather unimpressive group of men as disciples, yet after being filled with the Spirit, they "turned the world upside down."  During His ministry on earth, Jesus fed thousands with a child's meager lunch, and He viewed the widow's two small coins as a greater offering than all the other generous donations.

Lonesome Road Ministries has been housed in a building owned by Trinity Assembly of God Church in Carmi, IL. for the last 2 and a half years.  It has been a great partnership and we want to thank Trinity for not only housing us but also helping us out and hosting the last couple 3 Fold Cord Conferences.  Trinity has got to the point where they need to put this building on the market for sale and we are going to have to move. Sounds like bad news but I believe it is God pushing us out of the nest like a mother Eagle so that we can spread our wings and soar to new heights.

 Lonesome Road Ministries begin in the basement of our home in October 2000 and God has used us over the last 20 years in a lot of different places.  God has raised this Ministry up to be a world wide Ministry and I know with your help we can move this Ministry  back to my home town of Wayne City, IL. to a new location. The picture above is the building for sale  and it would be a perfect fit for our Ministry.  This building has a price tag of $65,000 and the building is 36 x 62 and it sets on 1 acre ground.

 So we only need 70 people who are willing to plant a 1,000 dollar seed or if God leads you to sow more that would be amazing!  The first 25 people who God lays it on their hearts to sow a 1,000 dollar  will help make the down payment and do a few improvements and get everything moved  to get Lonesome Road Ministries back home. This will be a DOUBLE PORTION SEED!  

 I want to have a plaque made with each persons name who sows into this building and hang the plaques in the hall way that runs through the building.  This will be Lonesome Roads "HALL OF FAME" and each day that I walk down that hall I will pray and ask God for A DOUBLE PORTION OF POWER AND PROSPERITY  for each name that is on the hall of fame wall.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who have sown into this ministry.  Also to all of you who give each month I want you to know with out your monthly support we couldn't reach all those folks all across America with the Gospel message. I just want you to know I love you and without you there is no Ministry.

 In Genesis Chapter 26 Isaac sowed a seed in time of famine and reaped one hundred fold in that year.  In the worst economic setting possible he got a maximum harvest because he sowed in faith.  We are living in one of the most unstable times in America, but I believe God is wanting to raise up our ministry to new levels, levels like we have never seen or dreamed possible.  Together we can stretch this net across America.

Acts 4:13 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It says now when they saw the boldness of Peter & John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus. I love this verse in the Bible, it gives all of us hope because no matter who we are God has more for each of us. The religious and highly educated were amazed when they saw these ordinary men (just fishermen) who God had transformed into (fishers of men).  Each one of us who the Holy Spirit lives in has the boldness if we will just let go and let God use us.  I'm ready for the next level , I can't wait to see where God is going to take us and use us.  Here am I Lord send Me!!
