God's Mighty Warrior!
Judges 6:12 When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. God has something for you to do that only you can accomplish through Him. Yes you, God is calling each one of us to become His might warriors. God loves to use the average ordinary people to do the extraordinary. God doesn't call the qualified He qualifies the called. Look at the story of Gideon in Judges Chapter 6. Gideon was hiding from his enemies. He was afraid and didn't feel equipped to do what God was calling him to do. He felt unqualified. Gideon was focusing on his circumstances and his weakness. Gideon felt weak, unqualified, insecure, and was full of fear. But God saw Gideon as a Mighty warrior, fearless and full of boldness. When Gideon finally surrendered to the call that God had on his life he became the mighty warrior that God was calling him to be. Gideon went from a victim to a victor. Victory is waiting for each one of us who are willing to say here I am Lord! Use Me! You may feel that you are average or ordinary, but God sees you as a His champion. He believes in you and regards you as a mighty warrior, strong and courageous. You may not see yourself as a successful and overcoming person but that doesn't change God's image of you. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, it's up to you what you do with it. It is your choice how you live each day from here on out. Choose to be positive and pick up your sword (which is the Bible) and you can become God*s mighty warrior. God still sees you exactly as His word describes you, dare to start seeing yourself as God's mighty warrior! Through God's word, and through prayer we can turn a life of being a victim to a life of victory. Victory in Jesus, dare to believe!
Hey remember this friends, God Loves you and we do too, this is Chaplain Gary Rayburn and we'll talk at you later!

Lonesome Road Ministries began in October 2000 as a tape ministry. We started out making 100 Cassette tapes a month and we have seen a lot of changes come down that Ole Lonesome Road since that time. In 2002 we started to transition into CD Ministry. By 2005 we was making mostly just CD'S and 2006 we was making just about all CD'S. 2007 we became a Oilfield Chaplain and began Rig Ministries and putting Lonesome Road Ministries on the shelf until 2018 when Lonesome Road Ministries was resurrected. We have dabbled in radio and podcast and even one season of television programs over the last 10 years and in 2018 we began a program called Lonesome Road, "Church on the Road" where we get in the Cab with the drivers and ride along with them for about an hour or so. I brought on a partner Darrell Spicer of Channel 21 Ministries to partner with me in the radio program. It has been a great time and we have really enjoyed working with Darrell Spicer in these programs, and from the feedback from the drivers they have enjoyed us riding with them. In 2016 God brought another couple into our lives Dennis & Leslie McKay, (The McKay Project) and we have been working with them and traveling with them around the Country. In 2017 with the help of The McKay's we came out with our Lonesome Road Music CD'S and in 2018 we came out with Lonesome Road Vol #2 CD, This year we are working on Vol #3, coming out in 2020. We are excited to be working with this great couple and in just a short time, they have become great friends of ours. Such great friends that I have asked Dennis to join Darrell and I on our Radio Program Lonesome Road's "Church on the Road" full time. So Dennis McKay will be riding along with us each week in the Cab with the drivers. I feel like this is going to take our Radio Program to a higher level than ever before. Dennis will be joining us on the Tim Ridley Show and The Dave Nemo show as well on Satellite Radio Channel 146. It just keeps getting Gooder and Gooder!!! So welcome aboard Chaplain Dennis McKay!!!! |
Gary RayburnI logged over 4 million miles as a truck driver from 1972 - 2007 and I have written a lot of it in my songs. God has taken me off the road and put me into full time ministry, but I still have a heart for all you drivers out there. Archives
