Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

We are living in an ever changing world and if we are to reach the world with the Gospel we must adapt and change our methods accordingly. The message stays the same, the methods have to change! Lonesome Road Ministries started out as a Cassette Ministry and if we hadn't changed over to CD's where would we be? We would be stuck in a rut and a rut is no place for any of us to end up. A rut is nothing more than a grave with both ends kicked out of it.
2020 represents a clear vision and our vision is clear, we are to continue with the CD Ministry, radio programs, podcasts, sharing Bibles and books and also taking our message on the road. We are to continue trying to network with as many ministries, Churches and Christian folks on the road helping others to find their calling in life. Just like the Bible says "Iron sharpens Iron," we need each other to grow into the Christian Warriors that God has called each of us to be. The hard working men and women who are on the road each and every day working to feed their families and to keep America rolling are like Iron that needs sharpened. When we work together we sharpen each other to be more than we could ever hope, dream or imagine.

We founded Lonesome Road ministry in October 2000 on my Testimony and songs that the Lord gave me to write. Since that time we have sought out powerful testimonies and great Christian Country Music like you hear on our programs. We have partnered with many folks and many ministries over the last 19 years to reach and change many of our family, friends, & neighbors and we ain't done yet! We will continue to do so until the Lord calls us home. We will continue to work with all the great people who we have met and became friends with. We will let them sharpen us as we labor in this field God has planted us in reaching out to sharpen the Christian believers, to reach out to the ones who are out of Church, and to reach the lost, broken hearted, the depressed and confused souls across America and around the world.

My prayer is that God will use us to sharpen each one of you who have become our friends, partners and co-laborers in this field. Together we are stretching a net all across America and into the uttermost parts of the world.
So our vision for 2020 is clear, we are to keep on the path that Jesus has placed us on and to try and sharpen our skills to be more effective than ever before. We will continue the work of Chaplain Darrell Spicer*s Channel 21 Ministries working hand in hand with all the road chaplains and supplying them with the tools they need to sharpen them into the warriors that God called them to be on the road. We will continue with the radio and CD program bringing on Dennis & Leslie McKay to sharpen our skills and to become more effective with our podcast, radio and cd programs. We will be traveling this year with the McKay project sharing our testimony and the McKay Project's awesome music and testimonies. We are looking to do interviews for our Lonesome Road Church on the Road programs. We have started booking Churches, Truck stop Chapels and we are excited about where God is calling us to go and minister. We have also set the dates for our 8th 3 Fold Cord Conference June 26,27,28 at Trinity Assembly of God Church 1600 Saunders Ave Carmi, IL. 62895. So friends as iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. The door of opportunity is wide open for us to share the gospel through a variety of methods. As believers, we are obligated to carry out Christ*s Great Commission. So let*s not let busyness nor apathy keeps us from obedience. Because obedience equals blessings and I know that God wants us all to be blessed and highly favored.
