Isaiah 41:17 & 18
The poor and needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.  I will open rivers on the barren heights, and fountains in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water, and the dry land into flowing springs.

We've all heard the saying, "You might be the only Bible some folks will ever read."  So we need to be something worth reading!  We must make ourselves available to be that shelter for a non-believing friend?  The word *oasis* has a refreshing sound to it, does it not?  It means a retreat, a Haven, or a sanctuary.  In 2021 God is calling each of us to be that oasis in the desert to people all around us.  We could be coming into a time in America when people are looking and searching for that life giving water.  We need to be able to point people to the source, and that source is our Lord Jesus Christ.

  God has given Lonesome Road Ministries a new home here at 107 Sycamore St. in Keenes, IL.  I believe God has anointed this place to be an oasis for all the lost and hurting people in this area and also for all those all across America.  God has not forsaken us, He is raising up those who will say here am I Lord use me!   God is building an Oasis right here in this our new Church home.   He is raising  up Chaplains for the road through our Channel 21 Ministries Chaplain program to be an Oasis for those hurting souls who are lost and lonely out there on that Ole Lonesome Road.  We are looking  for those men & women who wants to be used out there on the road.  

God is saying to each of us, as  for you my chosen ones, I have called you back from the ends of the earth so you can serve Me.  For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Do not be afraid for I am with you.  Do not be dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you.  I will help you.  I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.  I never want to forget where God found me. A 43 year old drug addict & alcoholic truck driver.  I was at the bottom sinking deep into the miry clay when I had no where to look but up.  I cried out to God and He saved me, set me upon the Rock (it was a setup), cleaned me up and established my goings.  Over 25 years ago on August 13,1995 God saved me and I said here am I Lord Use Me!!!

God has brought us a long way and He ain't through with us yet!  We have now officially moved into Lonesome Roads new home that God has provided for us through the generous donations of the Lonesome Road Ministry family.  Now we are in the midst of remodeling this Church which has been empty for the last 5 years.  We are painting, putting new floors down in the offices, fellowship hall, bathrooms, and looking forward to remodeling the sanctuary in 2021.  We are planning on having a Church on the Road that the Lonesome Road Ministries Families can call home.  Our plans are to have a place where we can have testimony services, Music services and preaching services from some of the Lonesome Road families from around the Country. An Oasis in the desert for all who are lost and searching to find life giving water that only our Lord Jesus Christ can provide.

 Here is what the Lord is saying to His people for 2021, Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned,and the flames shall not consume you for I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not see it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beast will honor Me, the jackals, and ostriches for I give water in the wildernesses and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise. We are looking ahead to 2021 and the Next Level that God has called us to...

​Matthew 2 verse 1-3
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,  "Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him."  King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem.

Linda and I was eating our Thanksgiving dinner just the two of us and it just didn't seem like Thanksgiving.  Because of this covid 19, families are not gathering together for traditional family times.  It looks like Christmas may be the same.  It made me think of the Grinch who tried to steal Christmas.  This year December 2020 we have a mean one trying to steal Christmas.  We all know who is behind all this and it is Satan himself.  He has been trying to steal Christmas and it goes all the way back to the birth of Jesus.  Satan is a liar and a thief and we must not let him steal Christmas from us this year or ever. Over 2000 years ago we had King Herod trying to not only steal but trying to kill Christmas.

 King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem.  Then Herod called for a private meeting with the wise men, and he learned from them the time when the star first appeared.  Then he told them, "Go to Bethlehem and search carefully for the child. And when you find him, come back and tell me so that I can go and worship him, too!" King Herod was a liar.

 After this interview the wise men went their way.   When they saw the star, they were filled with joy!  They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.  Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

 When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod. After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother," the angel said. "Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."

In the story of the Grinch who stole Christmas, the Grinch devised a wicked scheme to steal the Whos's Christmas presents, Christmas trees, decorations, and food.  The Grinch's intention was to dump everything into the abyss.

The Scripture tells us in John 10:10 The thief comes to steal,to kill, and to destroy.  Which is really bad news but there is more to this verse it also says that Jesus has come so that we might have live and life more abundantly.

That is God's plan for each and everyone of us.  As you will hear in this month's CD "Living the Abundant Life" we can all have that abundant life that Jesus wants for us.  Danny Crane's testimony even tells us how to accomplish that abundant life if we will just reach out and grab it.  So we are praying for each and everyone of you as you listen to this powerful testimony you will take it to heart.  Let us all make Jesus our King this year and worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

The Scripture Says  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest,And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"  We pray that this Christmas season that you will not let that mean ole grinch Satan steal your joy.
