Ecclesiastes 4:12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken" ![]() It’s still crazy!! We started our 3 Fold Cord Conference over 10 years ago in Carmi, IL and I thought this is crazy! It was and still is to this date. We had people drive hundreds of miles to come to our conference to sing, praise the Lord, give testimony and to hear powerful speakers. What started out as a one day conference quickly became a three day conference, because we had so many that were excited and glad to be there that we started a day early and ran for 3 days. This year we had over 100 people who came from 18 different states just to be a part of this crazy 3 Fold Cord Conference. The Lonesome Road family has an incredible bunch of people that just love Jesus so much that they will come from hundreds of miles away and donate their time, talent, and money to make sure that our conference is a success and that Lonesome Road Ministries is able to continue sharing the Gospel through our CD/Podcast programs, our radio programs and now our very own internet radio station. Lonesome Road Radio to this date has reached all across America and we have went into over 32 different Countries. I give God all the credit for this successful ministry, because he continues to send people into this ministry to help us reach all around the world. In 2015 God sent a man of God to help raise us up to levels I never thought or even dreamed of. In 2015 my wife was laid off and my salary got cut in half. So we had lost almost 70% of our pay. I told my wife Linda we would try and hang on till the conference was over in June, then I would have to find me a job somewhere else just so we could survive. It looked like the ministry was coming to an end. Long story short, God sent a man of God into my life by the name of James Payne and saved our ministry. I remember James told me that weekend God had sent him to help me if I would just listen to him. I told James that day, “I’m all ears.” He said, “you send out newsletters and CD’S every month, but you don’t put a donation envelope in with them.” I said, “well I don’t think I should ask for donations.” James explained putting a donation envelope is not asking for money, it is letting people know that we need help doing what God has called us to do. It also allows them to plant seed in fertile ground and sets them up for God to bless them. Since that time our donations have kept this ministry alive and also planted us in our very own building which was paid for by donations. James has been with us ever since 2015 and he comes every year and gives his time, talent and gifts to Lonesome Road Ministry helping us to continue what God has called us to do. I have heard a lot of James Payne messages and he talks about sowing into ministry. All those messages I have heard from James Payne I have never heard him ask for money for James Payne Ministries. He is always asking for OTHERS! That is the kind of people that we have here at Lonesome Road Ministries. So we thank you for all your love & support you pour into our ministry and all those who are part of Lonesome Road Ministries. If you are looking for good fertile ground to plant seeds in, you will find it through Lonesome Road Ministries and Lonesome Road Radio. Please help each one of our friends and family as they continue to do what God has called them to do. Let’s get crazy for God!!! see answer below!Have you heard of KFC Hour? Gary RayburnI logged over 4 million miles as a truck driver from 1972 - 2007 and I have written a lot of it in my songs. God has taken me off the road and put me into full time ministry, but I still have a heart for all you drivers out there. Archives
