Mark 10:52 . And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. The first move always belongs to us. It’s a choice what we do with this Man called Jesus when we hear about him. This story of Blind Bartimaeus has so much in it. When he heard that it was Jesus coming down the road Bartimaeus had to make a choice in his heart what he was going to do. Each day, each week we have to make a choice what are we going to do with this man called Jesus that lives in our heart. It is a choice. Soon as Bartimaeus heard that it was Jesus he cried out to Jesus, many charged him to be quiet but he just cried out even louder because he knew this was his one chance to be healed. Then the Bible says Jesus heard him and stood still. That is what happens when we cry out to Jesus with all our heart, Jesus hears our cries and he stands still. We get his attention when we cry out all the louder. What happens next is amazing, Jesus calls him and the blind man cast off his beggars coat, that identified him as a beggar. Jesus is calling many of you today and it is time for you to cast off those chains that are holding you back from achieving what Jesus is calling you to do! When this man cast away his coat he knew he was never going to need that anymore. Jesus said what do you need? What can I do for you? The blind man said, “ Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Jesus said, “ go thy way, thy faith has made you whole.” The Bible says, and immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
