Lonesome Road Ministries is a church on the road, a church out of the box. We are not your ordinary church. We are constantly looking to go to the next level. Our prayer is always, the prayer of Isaiah in Chapter 6 verse 8. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. The only way to get to the next level is to ask! So why not ask? James 4 verse 2 says you have not because you ask not. We should never be content in our ministries or churches where we are, we need to strive to go to the next level. We are not to be satisfied, we are not to be content where we are. There are souls out there who are dying and going to Hell and it’s up to us to not only tell them, but to show them a real Jesus. If we are truly born again Christians then it’s up to us to show them the Jesus that lives in us. It is our job to reach out to them every day, EVERY DAY! We are not to be once a week Christians. A once a week Christian makes for a weak Christian. When we become Christians God gave us power to be bold and to go and share our faith with others! So working together we can make a difference in the lives of our family, friends and neighbors. Jesus tells us in John Chapter 4 verse 35-38 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” We invite you to join with us in our labor and let us join with you in your labor and working together we can become that 3 fold cord which will withstand all that the devil will throw at us. God has given us the tools to take the Gospel message into all the world. What started out as a Cassette Tape Ministry in October 2000, 22 years ago, God has continued to raise us up to new levels. We started making CD’s in late 2004 and then moved into podcast programs in 2009. From there, God moved us to radio programs and now God has given us our very own radio station to send the Gospel all over the world with. We are hearing from countries all over the world who have been tuning in to our radio station. God is also giving us a new way to bring the Gospel to our listeners with our Collector Cards. These cards look like the baseball trading cards I use to collect when I was a kid. I always dreamed of being on one of those baseball cards and now I am on God’s team and we have our own trading card sharing testimonies with all who pick up these cards and scan the QR code on the back. It takes you to our podcast, which is a CD on Steroids!! Going to the next level can be a scary, but exciting, thing to do. God is looking for those who will say, “Here am I Lord send me. So join with us and download our app, Lonesome Road Radio on your phone and share our radio station with all your friends and neighbors,or share our website www.lonesomeroadradio.com. Together we can make a difference in someone else's life today! Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t make a difference, with God all things are possible. God wants to pour out his favor and blessings to all His people who enlarge their vision to reach others. God is looking for you to go to the next level in your life or your ministry, but, we must increase our vision and our capacity to receive what God has for us. Just like the widow in 2 Kings chapter 4. She cried out to the prophet Elisha, my husband is dead and the creditors are coming to enslave my two sons. Elisha said what do you have in the house, and she said, “We ain’t got nothing but a jar of oil.” Elisha told her to go and gather all the empty jars she could find, and do not gather just a few. Then, fill them from the jug of oil she had. When she did this she filled every jar she brought, Elisha told her to go and sell the oil and pay off all her creditors and her and her sons were to live off the rest. God is wanting us to go out and gather as many empty vessels as we possibly can, and those empty vessels are our family, friends and neighbors who don’t know Jesus. God wants us to go out into the highways and hedges and find empty vessels so that He can fill them with the oil of the Holy Spirit to overflowing. God has an endless flow of His Spirit for whosoever will ask, but it’s up to us to go out and find those empty vessels. We need to be contagious Christians making a difference to all we come in contact with. We’ve all heard the saying, ”You might be the only Bible someone ever reads.” That’s true, so let’s be something worth reading! Waiting at the Traffic LightsWe all dislike the inconvenience of traffic lights. They stop us mid-journey and delay us from reaching our destination. However, think of the chaos on our roads without them. In our busy lives we can become so impatient to reach our destination that we grow irritated with life’s many red lights. Sadly, when interruptions make us frustrated, it is the first sign we are losing our graceful way. It won’t be long before we are so preoccupied with our own plans that we are completely insensitive to the destinations of others. Instead, we should take every delay as an opportunity to relax and look around – otherwise, we will never enjoy life’s journey because we are so focused on reaching our destination. God is in control of all life’s traffic lights. We should be confident of reaching our objectives at precisely the right time - even allowing time to show compassion and consideration to other travelers. (Philippians 4:11-13) If we continue to speed through life’s red lights, God is the policeman who stops our reckless driving to avoid a fatal accident. He gives us a ticket (divine discipline) to remind us there are other drivers on the road-of-life who also have very important destinations. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him. To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26.

Gary RayburnI logged over 4 million miles as a truck driver from 1972 - 2007 and I have written a lot of it in my songs. God has taken me off the road and put me into full time ministry, but I still have a heart for all you drivers out there. Archives
